Route: Bishkek - Issyk Kul - Bokonbaevo - Jeti Oguz - Karakol - Chon Kemin - Bishkek
Day 1: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
This day is going to be rather emotional and expressive as we meet you in the Manas International Airport and show the way of 34km to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek is the city at the elevation of 800m above sea level. It seems to be an interesting site for seeing the beauties of post-Soviet country but in the modern appearance. As guests come to the country for the tour they ask about the translation of the name of the capital, and it means "a mixer for stirring kumis". We are going sightseeing and visit Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic. The next point is Ala Archa gorge, it is a national park. The name is translated as "bright juniper", juniper is one of the representatives of flora of the country. Being here in the summer you can feel heat of the son but coolness of wind of the mountains. The night is organized in the hotel.
Day 2: Bishkek - Burana - Kochkor
The first part of the next day we spend visiting the Asian Bazaar. As it is located in the very center of Bishkek, everyone can visit it and buy products, fruit. Moreover, it is the place of Kyrgyz life bursting; you can get acquainted with the locals, and buy traditional drinks and snacks. Then we make a way to Burana minaret, the tower of about 45m high in the very beginning of its existence. As it was built in the 11th century it used to suffer from threats of people and weather circumstances. Then we drive to Kochkor village and notice the details of carpets creation. The skills were passing throughout generations, and women get to know how to create clothes and carpets with embroidery of lines and ornaments, images. The night will be at the home of hospitable people.
Day 3: Kochkor - Son Kul
This day you leave Kochkor for seeing the beauties of summer Son Kul Lake. You have chosen the right time for the tour in Kyrgyzstan as from June to September the lake should be visited. It is not snowing here, but weather is cool, as we are at the elevation of 3016m above sea level. Make sure you have warm clothes, sunglasses and sunscreen for being protected. The territory of the lake is presented by pastures and valley. Here you can ride a horse, but we don't recommend swimming here, as even though it is summer, it is still cold here. As guests make a route here they can witness the real dwelling of the Kyrgyz people. The way they were living in the past. The people are extremely friendly and hospitable in their nature so that they will be glad to tell exciting facts. The night will be in the form of nomadic life - in the yurts.
Day 4: Son Kul - Naryn
Having enjoyed the greatness of Son Kul Lake, we drive to the Naryn region. It is an applicable place for all who want to start a route along the ranges of the Tien Shan Mountain range. Still being in the mountains we can feel the atmosphere of the nomadic culture. The mountains seem to be impossible to be vaulted, but a lot of professionals succeeded. In the past it was prohibited to travel in the mountains of the country, but now the situation is on our side! The route will be going along pastures and valleys of the region, along with the night organized in the lodging house.
Day 5: Naryn - Kichi Naryn - Bokonbaevo
The breakfast will be served to our guests and after it they continue their way to the Bokonbaevo village. The way will be going along the amazing Kichi Naryn gorge. The name seems to resemble in translation "the small Naryn". It is one of the popular destinations and you will visit Jalpak Bel pass. The pass is located at the height of 3000m above sea level and seems to be the incredible destination for making picturesque photos. Then we turn to Bokonbaevo village and watch the eagle hunting show. The show is breath-taking as eagles can see the fox or hare from the great altitude due to the great sight. The night will be organized in the homestay, at the locals.
Day 6: Bokonbaevo - Skazka - Barskoon - Issyk Kul southern shore - Jety Oguz
We have decided to show you the Canyon Skazka, it is literally a fairy tale! It is one of the most stunning places in the country showing imaginary sandstone rocks of red color. As we make a way along the southern shore of Issyk Kul we visit this canyon. It is along the road from Karakol to Kaji-Sai. There is no the legend going deeply to the history, as the canyon started to be known in our times. But there is a legend of our times, saying that you won't see the same landscape. Like canyons are different all the time, like the "zone" in "Stalker". Barskoon - one of the amazing gorges is also included to the program of Summer Tour 5. Then we move to Jeti Oguz gorge, the gorge of Seven Bulls. It seems to resemble the Skazka with red stone formations. Near it there is a romantic place Broken Heart Mountain. As temperature is high, you can travel here vault it for 20 minutes. Here you can buy Kumis and kurut. The night will be in the dwelling of the Kyrgyz people - yurt.
Day 7: Jeti Oguz - Karakol
Today is a kind of leisure time. The first half of the day we are in the yurt camp, communicate with the nomads, enjoy landscapes and wander about pastures and valleys. Nomads live at these places, they breed the cattle and wander about all of these pastures of emerald-green grass. Yurts are the main home of their own. They can build it and take apart again for putting in the other place. You can get acquainted with the skills of putting the yurt. The second part of the day is devoted to the way to Karakol. Here we visit the famous Dungan mosque, created in the Chinese style and Russian Orthodox Holy Trinity Cathedral erected in 1895 at the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The night will be in the boarding house.
Day 8: Karakol - Issyk Kul Lake northern shore - Chon Kemin
You can see the entire Issyk Kul, today we are making a way to the north of it. The lake is famous for being the pearl of the country. The citizens are very proud of it. You can swim in the lake, have sunbathes on the shore and buy corn and fish sold by women going along it. Then we make a visit of Chon Kemin. Here we can see the local museum of local artifacts and instruments. It is the place where guests can see the culture of the ancient people in the form of all these artifacts. The night will be organized in the dwelling of the local villagers of Chon Kemin.
Day 9: Chon Kemin - Bishkek
Before leaving Chon Kemin we spend half of the day riding a horse. It is an interesting activity and all of the locals and guests are required to try. Expectations are great and the result is amazing. Wandering about the site you can see the pristine forest, natural landscape and of course the mountains. Then in the end of the day there will be transfer back to Bishkek. The night will be in the hotel.
