Route: Almaty - Taraz - Sairam - Shymkent - Otrar Settlement - Turkestan - Aksu Zhabagly Reserve - Issyk - Almaty

Day 1: Almaty
Our company is happy to see travelers on a tour in Kazakhstan. When you arrive at the airport you will be transferred to the city for a guided tour. We will visit Almaty Museum. It is one of the oldest of Almaty parks - Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, where one of the most good-looking wooden building in the world - Zenkov Cathedral is located. Then we will walk to the Green Bazaar and enjoy shopping. In the afternoon we will travel to the Medeu Gorge (1,690 m) where we can see the highest mountain skating rink in the world and the dam. We will take a cable car to Shymbulak ski resort area and then drive to Kok Tobe hill, where the tallest TV tower in the world is located. We will enjoy walking among park, esteem the wonderful panorama of the city from the special observation deck. The tour ends with the short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway. Night is in night train Almaty - Taraz.

Day 2: Almaty - Taraz - Sairam - Shymkent
When you arrive to Taraz by morning train from Almaty you will be met at the railway station and transferred to Taraz. We will have a city tour and visit History Museum, Karakhan and Dautbek Mausoleum, Tekturmas Historical Complex, Akyrtas antient palace complex. Taraz is one of the oldest cities in Kazakhstan. Afterwards is transfer to Sairam district of Shymkent (160 km). We will visit Ibrahim Ata Mausoleum, Karashash Ana Mausoleum, and medieval minaret. Sairam is situated at the edge of Shymkent, at the place of former Ispidzhab. It is one of the largest centers of the Great Silk Road in the Middle Ages. It is the birthplace of the great enlightener of XII century - Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Mausoleums of his father and mother, Ibrahim Ata and Karashash Ana, are also located here. Transfer to Shymkent. Rest is in a hotel.

Day 3: Shymkent - Otrar Settlement - Turkestan - Shymkent
This tour will start by travelling to Otrar Settlement (220 km). We will visit Arystan Bab Mausoleum, archaeological site of the ancient settlement of Otrar. You will be transferred to Turkestan (70 km) and visit "Azret Sultan" historical and architectural complex, Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Turkestan was originated around 500 AD at the crossroads of caravan routes from Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva in northern Kazakhstan. The city was known as the spiritual and political center of the Turkic-speaking people in the XVI-XVIII centuries, and was the capital of the Kazakh Khanate. Transfer to Shymkent (170 km). Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 4: Shymkent - Aksu Zhabagly Reserve - Shymkent
Today is transfer to Aksu Zhabagly Reserve (125 km). On the way we will visit Aksu canyon. Aksu Zhabagly is the oldest natural reserve in Kazakhstan, located at the Western Tien Shan Mountains at an altitude from 1000 to 4280 meters above sea level. The basic high-altitude zones are signified here: semi-deserts standby dry motley grass of steppes, conspiracies of meadows give way to copses of creeping juniper. The reserve is an irritating capital of rare species of animals and plants. Travelers may see argali and ibex, deer and roe deer, lynx and snow leopards, wolves, foxes, bears, porcupines and ermines as well as bearded vultures, griffons and golden eagles. Transfer to Shymkent. Night is in a hotel. 

Day 5: Shymkent
Shymkent is the third city of Kazakhstan by its population. This city ran along one of the branches of the Great Silk Road along with the most famous cities of medieval Kazakhstan and Central Asia as Otrar, Turkestan, Syganak, Sauran, and others. Travelers will visit Walk of Fame (Park named after Sh. Kaldayakov), Monument "Jer Ana", Ordabasy Square, Park "20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan", Obelisk of Glory, Eternal Fire to the Fallen in WWII, Dendropark and historical museum. See remnants of the citadel of ancient Shymkent, walking on street "Arbat". Overnight is in a hotel.

Day 6: Shymkent - Almaty - Issyk - Almaty
In the morning is transfer to airport for flight Shymkent - Almaty. On arrival you will drive to Issyk Lake. We will visit outstanding gorges of Trans Ili Alatau - Issyk Gorge. It is located on the Kuldja tract. Travelers will have an opportunity to visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum Reserve "ISSYK". Being there you will learn more about the history and culture of the Saka period, including a copy of Golden Man and golden items. We will drive to an altitude of 1756 meters above sea level in order to see the stunning mountain lake Issyk, situated in the valley with the similar name. The lake appeared about 10,000 years ago because of landslide and created the natural dam of 300 meters in height. In the end of day is transfer to a hotel for rest.

Day 7: Flight
