Route: Torugart - Tash Rabat - Kichi Naryn - Kochkor - Issyk Kul Lake - Ala Archa - Bishkek
Day 1: Torugart - Tash Rabat
We are glad to see you in Kyrgyzstan. Meet you Kyrgyz driver at the Chinese-Kyrgyz border at 12 o'clock and be transferred to the Tash Rabat Caravanserai on the Great Silk Road (Stone Castle from the 14th century). It is located on the Tian Shan Mountains. Tash Rabat was constructed of stone blocks inside a mountain at an elevation of 3200 m above sea level with 31 rooms of 1 m thick walls. In past times there was a prison. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 2: Tash Rabat - Kichi Naryn - Kochkor
Today we will travel to Kochkor village through attractive Kichi Naryn gorge. The road will go along astonishing gorge via mountain pass that is 3 000 meters high. Being in Kochkor village you will spend some time with a family. They will teach you how to make our national felt carpets are produced. Afterwards you can make your own carpet with style. Travelers will visit a small handicraft museum and see examples of silver decorations, coats made of wolfs, horse saddle decorations, carpets and many other things. Night will be in a home stay.
Day 3: Kochkor - Issyk Kul Lake
In the morning you will be transferred to the celestial Issyk Kul Lake. It is the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). Its length is 180 km and it is 60 km wide. The lake is called "the pearl of Central Asia". About 1 500 years ago local people reflected the lake to be a sacred one. The lake has healing potentials. In Cholpon Ata we will take a short break to give you the chance to visit ancient stone inscriptions (800 B.C.). These petroglyphs were made more than 2000 years ago by shamans. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 4: Issyk Kul Lake - Bishkek
Today is transfer to Bishkek city. On the way you will visit Burana Tower of the 11th century. Burana Tower was used during the Great Silk Road as a signal for travelers that there was a city to have a rest. Neighboring you will see an open air museum of Balbals (stone warriors) completed to heroes who died for their Motherland. In the afternoon we will have a city tour of Bishkek. It includes visiting Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and others. Night is in a hotel.
Day 5: Bishkek - Ala Archa - Bishkek
In the morning travelers will visit Ala Archa gorge. It is a Natural Park located on a spur of the Tien Shan mountain range. The way will take 45 km from Bishkek. You can have a short hiking tour to see a panoramic view of the gorge. Then we will return to Bishkek and visit our Asian Bazaar. You will have an opportunity to see how the real oriental life look and buy fresh goods. Transfer to a hotel.
Day 6: Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
